For a long time, I tried to hide the size of my arms, without understanding why they looked the way they did.

This is what LIPEDEMA in the arms can look like.

At the beginning of the video, you can see muscle definition when the arm is engaged.
However, when I relax my arm, the tissue changes and the swelling becomes more visible.

Lipedema is a chronic condition characterised by an abnormal accumulation of fat, inflammation, and fluid retention, usually affecting the arms and legs symmetrically.
It is not caused by weight gain and does not respond to diet or exercise in the same way.

This is why the arms may look firm when contracted, but softer, swollen, or uneven when relaxed.

In the last photo, I’m wearing compression sleeves, which help reduce swelling and support lymphatic circulation. They also make my arms feel lighter and more supported.

HOW CAN LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE HELP?
Through gentle, targeted techniques, drainage can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, relieve discomfort, and support the lymphatic system, promoting a feeling of lightness and well-being. Lymphatic drainage can be a great supportive treatment!
